Listing data
Listings are compiled from public sources. The fields we commonly hold about a business are: name, vertical, address or area, phone number, WhatsApp number where published, hours, price range, services, website, and public source links with check dates for each field. A business can ask us to correct or remove information about it through the contact page; we verify the request against the published contact details or through our desk before applying it.
Account data
If an account exists for a business owner, we hold the email address, the owner's name, and the relationship between the person and the listing (for example, owner, manager, or authorized contact). Passwords are stored only as a hash. We do not store the plain password of any account.
Claim records
When a listing is claimed, we record which tier was claimed, the method used to prove control (such as a claim code or a desk check), and the class of evidence used. Claim codes are stored only as hashes. The claim record is used to show which information the claimant may edit.
Enquiries
Where a listing routes enquiries through the desk, the message you send is held by our desk and passed to the business. Where a listing offers a direct WhatsApp link or a phone number, those enquiries go directly to the business and leave no copy with us.
Feedback
Feedback you send, including "what's missing" votes and written or voice feedback, is held in a separate feedback store. Feedback is counted by business in the desk's own records and totals are not published on the public directory. Voice feedback files are stored under a random file name.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not build advertising profiles from what people send us. We do not manipulate reviews or review counts. There are no paid placements or paid rankings in this directory.
Retention and deletion
Records are kept as long as they are needed for the directory to function and to resolve disputes. On a verified request from a business about its own data, or from a person about data they sent us, we will delete or correct the relevant records. Where a record is needed to demonstrate that a correction or removal was requested, we will keep it after verification in a form that no longer contains the deleted content.
