What this directory is
This is a directory of businesses. Listings are compiled from publicly available sources such as business websites, public listings, and openly published contact details. We do not claim that every field is verified in real time; the informational fields are drawn from those public sources.
Listings are information, not endorsement
Inclusion in this directory is not an endorsement, certification, approval, or quality rating. No business is approved, certified, or ranked in this directory by payment. Nothing on this directory should be read as a claim that a business is licensed, insured, safe, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Claiming a listing
Claiming a listing is free. To claim a listing, a person must demonstrate control of the phone number published on the listing, or pass a manual verification by our desk. Claiming a listing shows the business owner which information is shown about them and lets them correct it. Unclaimed listings remain visible.
Owner responsibility
A business owner who claims a listing is responsible for the accuracy of the facts that listing shows about their business. Owners are responsible for keeping their contact details, hours, price ranges, services, and website current.
Unclaimed listings
Unclaimed listings show the public source that the information was taken from and the date it was last checked. Sources are listed per field where possible. When a field cannot be traced to a public source it is not shown.
Corrections and removal
A business may request a correction to a listing or the removal of a listing on its own verified request. Requests are handled through the contact page and verified against the published contact details or through the desk. Corrections are applied at the field level.
Enquiries
Where a listing offers a direct enquiry route such as a phone number or a WhatsApp link, enquiries go directly to the business. Where a listing offers a form routed through the desk, enquiries reach the desk. Direct enquiries made to a business through its own published channels do not create a copy held by this service.
No paid placement
This directory does not sell paid placement. There is no "featured" ordering that can be purchased, and no ordering of listings for sale. Where listings appear in a list, they appear according to the information fields they hold.
Feedback
Feedback about listings, including "what's missing" votes and written or voice feedback, is held separately from the listings themselves. Feedback is kept in a feedback store that is read by the desk and is not published on the listing.
Demotion and delisting
This service may demote or delist a listing that is shown to be false or harmful. A delisted listing is removed from the directory. Where a listing is delisted, the desk may keep a record of the reasoning in the feedback store.
Availability and changes
This directory is provided as available. Features, fields, and routes may change as the service develops. These terms may change, and the version shown on this page is the current version. If you continue to use the directory after a change, that is acceptance of the change.
Who this directory is for
This directory is for people looking for businesses in the towns and markets it covers, and for the businesses listed in it. It is offered market by market; it is not available in every country, and markets, categories and fields may be limited or withdrawn. A listing may be claimed only by the business it names, or by a person authorised by that business — claiming a listing is the sign-up, and it is free.
Prohibited use and responsibility
Claiming a listing that is not yours, posting false facts or reviews, or using the enquiry routes to send spam or to collect details for another purpose is prohibited. Doing so is a breach of these terms, and we may suspend the account, unclaim or delist the listing. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage caused by that prohibited use, and you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims that arise from it. Nothing in this section limits our liability for our own negligence or wilful misconduct, for our own breaches of privacy or security duties, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When we do, the updated terms are posted on this page with a new date. Material changes — to pricing, to the scope of the service, or to how data is handled — are notified by email or in the product before they take effect. Continuing to use the directory after a change takes effect is acceptance of it. If you do not agree, stop using it and, if you hold a claimed listing, close your account.
Ending use
A claimed business may close its account at any time through the desk; its listing then returns to an unclaimed listing compiled from public sources, or is removed on its verified request. We may end an account for a breach of these terms. Enquiries already sent to a business are that business’s to answer.
Our responsibility
Listings are compiled from public sources and are information, not endorsement, certification or a quality rating; unclaimed listings carry no facts we invented and no reviews. We are responsible for running the directory as described on this page and for acting on verified correction and removal requests. Subject to the section above, that is the extent of our responsibility, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
